The First Apostolic Council of Kentucky &
Tennessee is an auxiliary of the oldest
Oneness Pentecostal organization in
existence. It began developing as early as 1909
when on one of his many visits to Louisville,
Kentucky an anointed Pentecostal preacher by the
name of GT Haywood preached a dynamic
message at the Christian Faith Band Church
located at 16th and Magazine Street
on the east side of the city. After hearing
Haywood preach a small group, made up of mostly
women, began to have cottage meetings in
different locations. The young Haywood began
nurturing and guiding the small group as it grew
into both a congregation and ultimately, by
request of the saints, a “convention”. Since
few district councils have the age and
impressive foundation as the First Apostolic
Council of Kentucky/Tennessee, I would like to
personally invite you to be blessed as you
browse the pages of this important part of our
historical repository.
